CHAMP

Camden's Humane Animal Movement Program, or CHAMP, is one program that has been created to bring help to the doorsteps of pet owners living in some of the city's most underprivileged neighborhoods.  We are working on humane education, increasing spay/neuter, as well as providing a food bank for needy pets.  Please consider supporting this important program today.

The felines at the Camden County Animal Shelter desperately need more cages to help us save even more lives.  Each cage costs several hundred dollars so your help is needed more now than ever before.  If you have been contemplating a holiday donation to a worthwhile cause or you need to take advantage of a tax deductible donation for 2008 please look no further than the animals at CCAS.  CCAS uses volunteers to perform every function of our fundraising activities so you can be sure that 100% of your donation goes directly to the care of our animals!  Flyer

Ways to Help

There are various ways in which you can help us help the animals at our shelter.

  • Donate Time
  • Donate Money: By either making a one-time donation, or setting up a recurring one, your money helps the shelter fund its medical expenses, replace worn out leashes or collars, or many of the other canine and feline needs.
  • Donate Items: by donating items the shelter is in need of, you save the shelter the expense of purchasing the item itself. This in turn let's the shelter use that money for something that may be more important, like surgery or medicine for a special needs pet!
  • Foster a Pet: We always need dedicated people to foster cats, dogs, kittens, and puppies, especially during the summer months. Fostering is a wonderful way to help ready shelter animals for their forever homes.
  • Volunteer at Our Petsmart Adoption Centers: We currently have cats for adoption at three local Petsmarts. Volunteers are always needed for morning, evening, and weekend shifts.
