Volunteer at the Spay Our Strays Clinics

Every month, many volunteers take time out of their schedules to help bring us a successful Spay Our Strays Clinic. If you would like to be one of our trusted volunteers, we are always looking for help in the areas listed below. If you are interested in helping out, please contact the Spay Our Strays Clinic Coordinator.

Hands-On with the Cats
  • Prepping cats for surgery (shaving/prepping incision site)
  • Administering services (flea treatments, ear cleaning, nail clipping, etc)
  • Transporting cats between medical stations
  • Monitoring cats in recovery post surgery
Hands-Off with the Cats
  • Preparing/maintaining logs and other paperwork
  • Reviewing available services with caregivers
  • Transporting cats (while they are still in their carriers/traps)
  • Scrubbing/sterilizing surgical instruments
  • Preparing carriers/traps for cats after surgery
  • Calling caregivers to relay information or to ask them questions when needed
  • Reviewing aftercare instructions/information with caregivers
Clinic Preparation/Advertising
  • Printing/copying documents
  • Distributing/posting flyers
  • Advertising
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Making confirmation calls
  • Setting up/preparing supplies

Donate Items to Spay Our Strays

The Spay Our Strays Clinic is always in need of various items. If you are interested in donating any of these much needed supplies to the Spay Our Strays Clinics, you can either drop them off at the Camden County Animal Shelter during normal operating hours (please make sure to let the staff know the supplies are for the Spay Our Strays Clinics) or you can drop them off at our Lindenwold clinic location on the day of the clinic between 7am and 7pm. If you need more detailed information or think you may have other supplies that we could use at the clinics, please contact the Spay Our Strays Clinic Coordinator.
