Each month, the Camden County Animal Shelter holds a multitude of events to display our furry companions in the public spotlight and to meet as many members of our community as we can in order to spread the message about our mission to the greater population. Of course, it doesn't hurt that these events are a great way for us to provide our animal friends with exercise, sunshine, and human interaction. If you have the time to stop by and say hello, we'd love to see you at any or all of our events. If you have any questions about any particular event, please e-mail us at email@example.com or call 856-401-1300.
When: Saturday, October 26, 2013 (11am - 3pm)
Where:Manny's Last Chance Saloon: 221 White Horse Pike, Chesilhurst, NJ 08089
Hosted by New Jersey Aid for Animals
National Pit Bull Awareness Day (NPBAD) is a day of appreciation and education designed to change perceptions and stereotypes about pit bulls and their responsible owners. NPBAD was established to educate and foster positive communications and experiences in the communities in which we and our dogs live, and it is an initiative dedicated to restoring the image of the American Pit Bull Terrier.
The ultimate goal of NPBAD is to promote the truth about pit bulls. Knowledge is power, and with education and advocacy, the truth will save lives in terms of negating the fear and bias generated by the media, circumvent knee-jerk reactions such as breed bans, and the truth will result in fewer pit bulls ending up in animal shelters.
Dogs are, of course, permitted (no retractable leashes) so please come join us to celebrate pit bulls everywhere!
