We are always in need of monetary donations to help out our orphans, especially our special needs pets. Please consider giving us a donation, whether it be $1 or $100. The animals always appreciate it. Groundspring.org donations are great, or checks can be mailed to us at the address below. You can also help by donating items the shelter needs to help keep our animals safe and healthy.

Adoption Policy & PaperworkThe Camden County Animal Shelter provides adoption services for cats and dogs. By adopting a homeless pet, you save a life and receive a lifetime of love in return. Adopting any pet is a serious commitment - over 15 years' worth in many cases - that requires careful consideration. Please read What to Consider Before Adopting a Pet to be sure that you are able to make the necessary commitments of time, responsibility, money, and love for the life of your companion animal. Our shelter prides itself on successful adoptions. As such, our policy is designed to help and protect both you as a potential parent and our animals. Please recognize that being the first person to apply for an animal does not guarantee that you will be approved to adopt that animal. We do not work on a first-come, first-served basis, but rather try at all times to find the best match possible between the animal and the adopting home. To be considered for adoption, you must:
All cats and dogs will be spayed or neutered prior to leaving the shelter with their new family. If this is not possible due to age or medical condition, the adopter must leave a $50 cash deposit. A spay/neuter appointment will be made at the time of adoption and noted on the adoption contract, and the adopter will receive their deposit back at the time they bring the animal back for surgery. Prior to the adoption of your pet, you must schedule your pet's first wellness visit with a veterinarian for within 7 days of adoption. A follow-up check will be made to confirm the appointment was scheduled and attended. It is strongly recommended that at this veterinary visit, your new pet be tested and/or treated for parasites and Lyme's disease. How To Apply: Complete the appropriate application below. Be sure to include the name and case number (if applicable) of the pet you're interested in. Please complete all questions on the application. Incomplete applications will result in a delayed processing time.1) Download and print the application and bring or fax it to the shelter: DOG Printable Application CAT Printable Application 2) Fill in the application online, save it to your computer, and email it to info@ccasnj.org: Please also download the CCAS Adoption Contract Info Form, which outlines the CCAS
