Meet Tink!

Tink was surrendered by her owner who had financial problems and could no longer care for her. Tink was immediately transferred to one of our rescue partners and was quickly adopted by one of their volunteers.

CHAMP Program Takes Top Marks

    Camden's Humane Animal Movement Program, or CHAMP, is one program that has been created to bring help to the doorsteps of pet owners living in some of the city's most underprivileged neighborhoods.

   On May 24th the Camden County Animal Shelter, in partnership with NJ Aid for Animals and the Animal Welfare Association, hosted a free vaccination clinic for Camden City residents as well as distributed food and collars/leashes to needy families. This was also an opportunity to educate pet parents and to spread the word of our free spay/neuter program for Camden's cats and large dogs.

   Please consider supporting this program by donating or volunteering to help make it a success.

BONGO NEEDS YOUR HELP

Thanks to your generosity...a successful surgery!

Dr Caroline Garzotto completed the orthopedic surgery Thursday April 16th at Voorhees Veterinary Center. Just to show you the generosity of her and Dr Marc Rosenberg (the owner of the veterinary center), this is a $3000 surgery and we were only charged $600.

Bongo update...
Yay.....Bongos Pins are out, all of them!!! We couldn't believe it, he has made such good progress that the time had come that they could all be removed. Yesterday was difficult for him he was uncomfortable we even took him back to the vet and his dressing was changed in case it was too tight...once changed that helped. The bad thing which I know he does not like is he has to be kept in the cage for 2 weeks to help let the leg heal. Well of course our BONGO wants to be out running around and playing. So he isn't too happy, but is doing better with his pain today. He has a dressing in place which he'll be happy to get off in 5 days. That's on mainly to protect the pin sights. So all is good with Bongo....
